What a great experience it was for me at my first comic convention. I learned so much on ways I can present my work next year. Also, as much as I loved to see kids excited to see my work I need to protect the pieces from grabbing hands. One of my miniatures fell victim to having a piece broken. Not sure how it happened. But when we unpacked the minis on Sunday this mini was intact. One child grabbed Bane and was pressing his hoses. I kindly told him be careful buddy he can break. Its understanding his wanting to touch Bane. He looks like a toy. So yeah learned next yr to have minis in a display box. Other than that I met some great people. Even had a commission done from an artist nearby. It turned out great too. Here it is if you're curious.
I love how it turned out. The other artist were very friendly and I enjoyed talking to them. The response from people on my work was very positive. Some were amazed to see something so small painted while others knew exactly what these were and even shared that they too paint minis. I did a commission for a gentleman while there. Sorry no pics. But it was of a Heroclix jean grey (green phoenix). Customer was pleased with the final product. looking forward to next year's event. On that note till next time and closing this post with a few pics of cosplayers.
