Saladin WIP Pt.1

With this being my last miniature for my current commission how better to end it with Saladin. I mean this guy is one bad@$$ mofo. Don't take my word for it just check out his bio on the infinity page.

So, here is the beginning of this fearsome warrior. I've managed to get quite a bit done in short amount of time..roughly four hours. I'm writing notes down for the colors I'm using on this guy. Look for a tutorial in the near future. Promise it will turn out better than my nurgle tutorial. Haha

blood and sand WIP pt2

I'm a huge fan of the gladiators during Roman times. It's fascinating how anyone from a slave to high class citizens could have become a gladiator...granted the slave wasn't given the opportunity to refuse becoming a gladiator.

For this piece I'm creating this in honor of the movie Spartacus. I've watched all of the series and it truly inspires one when painting a gladiator...minus all the fornication that happens during the show haha. Well here's how my champion is looking so far.

Tarik Mansuri is finished

For a table top standard I think I did this guy justice fairly well.

chaos lord - complete

Here is the Chaos Lord in all his glory. For a quick table top paintjob he turned out well. It was exactly what I needed for a quick break from commissions. Hope you like him.

chaos lord WIP

In preparation for my next commission I wanted to paint something to clear my head. Doing sometHing quick and easy is a nice break mentally for myself. After he's finished I'm going to drop him off at the local Comic book store for displaying.

female barbarian - complete

So, lately I've been rather busy with commissions and this is one I really enjoyed doing. This is my latest commission and she was a real joy to paint. No it's not because she is half naked LOL. I really love her pose. Its very seductive yet intimidating at the same time. The customer wanted her skin tone to look smooth instead of muscular like a traditional barbarian. Her armour was painted with a bronze and I painted in the seams to resemble an aged bronze. (Sorry can't remember what it's called.) The axe was done with a gunmetal silver then washed with sepia then highlights were done a mix of mithril silver and gunmetal. The blood was created by using GWs new blood affects paint. The drip was created using fishing line and superglue.  Hope you like her. Enjoy.
