Been a busy little bee!

It's been a while since I've posted anything but doesn't mean I quit painting. On the contrary quite the opposite...okay so that isn't exactly true. Nowwww I might have been somewhat side tracked by playing SWTOR (Star Wars of The Old Republic) *shrugs* who hasn't? Great game btw!! Okay so onto my current WIP and a few finished minis. These were done primarily for table top standard. Might throw them up on Ebay or take them to local hobby shop store and see if have any locals interested. Gotta support my local gamers :)

Here is my WIP that finally decided to dust off and remove the bottom shelf of my cabinet. I can't explain how many colors I used to just achieve what I have so far. Might push the highlights some more to help balance out. So far I'm pleased with how it's looking.

Here is a table top standard of Krell, Lord of Undeath. He's a new miniature from GW (Games Workshop). Overall this miniature wasn't a pain to assemble since its just his axe and head you have to glue on. It is however from their "Finecast" line and I was rather skeptical about painting/handling it since I've read quite a bit of negative reviews about the quality. Luckily this cast wasn't that bad. had a little bit of flash had to clean..Only gripe I had was the axe was bent slightly and I had to bend it back repeatedly until it stayed. Although I did see a tutorial on how to fix this with a hair dryer thanks to Ana aka Paintingmum

Here is a Wight Knight from GW as well. This isn't part of their Finecast line and the cast was very durable and assembled fairly well. Just wasn't able to fully assemble until was finished painting the torso then I could put on his arm holding the sword as well cloak corner piece. Overall it was a fun mini to paint and I'm sure I'll pick up another one.

Okay, here she is..err I mean he. I really enjoyed painting this Space Marine. Great pose and there is so much you can do with those claws! Spent a bit more time on this one since wanted to work on my layering of colors. Blue is a pain in the ass..so my hats of to those out there that can pull it off. My intentions were to put this guy up for sale..but it's going to be like asking a kid to get rid of their new puppy. Either way it was a joy to paint this marine and look forward to having another go at him..maybe do a white scars version next time with battle dmg. *shrugs*

btw I didn't paint a logo on his shoulder cause I'm not good at Freehand yet..and didn't want to put a decal on  him. that's like putting a vinyl decal on a new Z06 vet..oh wait they do that now..sigh WHYYYY!!!
